Depending on your company's setup, some steps in this process may vary. The below covers how to set up a device that is enrolled in Apple Business Manager.
Step 1: Select Language and select Next.
Step 2: Select Country and select Next.
Step 3: On the quick start screen, if you do not have a previous device, select Set Up Manually.
Step 4: Select the Wi-Fi Network you want to use.
Step 5: Enter the username and password for the Wi-Fi Network you selected. Select Next after entering the credentials. If you do not know what the Wi-Fi credentials are, reach out to your company.
Step 6: The device will begin setting itself up. This step may take two minutes depending on the speed of internet connection.
Step 7: Once complete, the device will show a screen titled Apps & Data.
If you have a previous device and it was backed up to iCloud, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
If an iCloud backup is not available or iCloud is not used, select Don’t Transfer Apps & Data
We do not recommend using Restore from Mac or PC as it can bring over profiles/data that will require the device to be erased and set up again before use.
Step 8: You should see the Remote Management screen. Select Next to continue.
Step 9: The device should be on the Apple ID login. If you have an existing Apple ID, you can enter the credentials here. An Apple ID is not required to receive company apps.
- To skip creating an Apple ID, select “Forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID?”
- Select Set Up Later in Settings.
- Click Don’t Use.
Step 10: Location Services – click Enable Location Services.
Step 11: Appearance – select between Light and Dark themes and click Continue.
Step 12: Wait while apps are installed from Apple. This may include new app updates or features.
